Terms of Service

1. Features and Scope of Use

This App is designed to provide users with local playback, management, segment recording, shadowing practice, import and export functions for audio/video content. On their personal devices, users can: - Play and manage local audio/video files - Use features like 'Echo Method' and 'Intensive Listening Markers' for listening practice - Record, analyze, and compare pronunciation waveforms - Create and manage category tags and cover images - Back up or migrate files (including segment records) This App is designed for personal use only and does not offer any cloud storage or synchronization services.

2. User Content and Local Storage

All audio, video, recordings, segment markers, and category information managed by the App are stored locally on the user's device. The App does not automatically upload or sync user content to the developer or any third-party servers. Recordings made with this App, managed files, and exported backup packages (including MATE files) are fully under the user's control. If users choose to share these files with others, they are responsible for ensuring they contain no sensitive or personal information.

3. Recording and Microphone Permissions

Some features of the App (such as the Echo Method, waveform recording, and intensive listening markers) require access to the microphone. Recordings are used only for local shadowing practice, analysis, and playback. Recorded files will be automatically deleted when the user exits the practice page and will not be retained on the device long-term.

4. Import and Export Functions

Users can choose to export local files and records as a package for backup or to restore them when switching devices. If the user opts to include file information (MATE files) during export, the exported package will contain not only the audio/video files but also file IDs, file names, and group tag information. - Enabling the "Continue from Last Progress" option allows batch export. Records are only retained on the current page and will be cleared upon exit. - Users are advised to carefully check and avoid sharing personal or sensitive information when sharing exported files with others.

5. Category Management

Users can create category tags locally and add cover images to better organize audio/video content. - Category order can be specified at creation or adjusted by dragging in the list. - Categories can be hidden so they do not appear in the main menu, but this will not affect the files assigned to them. - To avoid management confusion, categories cannot be deleted once created.

6. User Responsibility

Users are solely responsible for all content and data generated while using this App, including but not limited to recordings, imported audio/video, and exported backup files. Users agree not to use this App for any of the following activities: - Any activity that violates laws or regulations - Infringement of others' copyrights or privacy - Storing or distributing illegal or inappropriate content
